thought: selective by nature

I’m painfully picky when it comes to friends. Since I came to the US, I’ve met a lot of people but I only have 2 friends from Nepal that I actually talk to on a real level. Everyone else? I’ll talk if I need to, but it stays limited to that specific conversation. Once it’s done, I go silent again. It’s not that I dislike people, I just don’t have the energy to keep up with connections that don’t feel natural. Quality over quantity, always.
